Welcome to Healthy Pet Veterinary Clinic
Conveniently located on Madison's East Side, we provide exceptional medical, surgical, dental, and preventive care for dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, and other small mammals. Our professional staff is dedicated to treating every pet, and every family, with compassion.
Not Just Dogs & Cats:
We're Built for Exotic Companion Mammals
You won't hear us call rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, and similar species "pocket pets." We call them what they are: Exotic Companion Mammals (ECMs). The distinction matters. These animals have fundamentally different anatomy, dietary needs, and health risks than dogs and cats, and they deserve a veterinary team with the training and experience to match.
Most veterinary clinics in Madison see these animals rarely, if at all. At Healthy Pet, small mammals make up a significant portion of our patient population every single day. That daily experience, combined with Dr. Christman's four years on the board of the Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians, means your rabbit, guinea pig, or ferret receives a level of care that's simply unavailable at most general practices.
We proudly care for rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, chinchillas, rats, hamsters, gerbils, hedgehogs, sugar gliders, degus, and other small mammal species.
